ABOUT US

Roger Brothers began in Pelican Rapids, MN around 1909 with the Roger Brothers and their father. They began with a Merry Go Round and Ferris Wheel. During the years to come they grew into a well established and respected amusement company. Their route began in June and continued through Labor Day. They played mostly two dates per week with one event beginning on Monday and ending on Wednesday. The next event opened on Thursday and played through Sunday.

The Steven's family took over the operation during the ‘81 season and still play several of the same dates that the Roger Brothers played for many years. One of these dates is Dakota Co., Farmington, MN which has had Roger Brothers for over 50 years.

When Roger Brothers was purchased in 1981 it was made up of a Merry go round, Tilt a Whirl, Ferris wheel, Whirley bird, Octopus, motorcycle ride, boat ride, Zoomer, train, and pony carts. There were no generators, only C-60 single axile trucks. There were no computers, satellite systems, diesel tractors. Most rides were old standards with many ground mounted and labor intensive. As you will see the investment over the years has been in excess of two and half million dollars.

The Steven's family, now sole owners of Funland the corporate entity for Rogers Bros. has expanded into a food and picnic division (Steven's Sweets) and a long haul trucking company (Steven's Coach Leasing). Each of these additional divisions were created to compliment Rogers Brothers Funland. The food and picnic division offer a diversification which provides additional income in what would otherwise be OFF SEASON.  The trucking division provides a method of purchasing the very best,Stevens Coach modern tractors on the road today. It also supplies jobs for qualified personnel year around. This has allowed us to keep our best employees and provide them with a standard of living that many of our competitors can not afford.

The many years since purchasing Roger Brothers we have grown and prospered. After 9-11-01, Michael Steven's joined the Army Special Operations and become an Airborne Ranger. Monique Steven's Williston and her husband James took over total management for the time that Michael was serving. Upon Michael's return from his military duties, Monique and James took a well deserved sabbatical from the carnival business. Michael had a son, Timothy Michael, while serving in the military and another son, Jacob Gabriel, about 1 year after returning. Michael and his wife Michele are currently the sole managers of Funland RBS, Inc. We are one of the most modern up-to-date traveling carnivals in the nation.
